LC to LC 100G OM5 Multimode Wideband Fiber Optic Patch Cable (50/125μm, 2.0mm, UPC, LSZH, Green)

Overview

As the amount of traffic in data centers grows, so does the need for next-generation devices and fiber cables to support higher bandwidths. This OM5 duplex multimode 50/125 fiber patch cable is a wideband multimode fiber (WBMMF) patch cable that supports Short Wavelength Division Multiplexing (SWDM) to transmit multiple signals (wavelengths) on one fiber, increasing the bandwidth of a single fiber by at least a factor of four. The LC to LC multimode fiber patch cable provides cost-effective fiber solutions for increased bandwidth in 40/100Gb Ethernet applications.

The OM5 fiber cable meets ANSI/TIA-492AAAE and current IEEE 802.3ae requirements. It is completely backward compatible with existing OM3 and OM4 50/125 fiber networks and applications, potentially making your fiber optic cable installation easier. The OM5 fiber patch cable is manufactured with high-quality wideband multimode fiber (WBMMF) fiber and LC-LC ceramic connectors and is strictly tested for low insertion and return loss to ensure superior performance and quality. The cable jacket is LSZH (Low-Smoke, Zero-Halogen) flame retardant, to ensure minimal smoke, toxicity, and corrosion. It is ideal for 40G QSFP+ and 100G QSFP28 transceivers connection.

62.5/125 OM1 multimode fiber optic cable is ideal for connecting 100/1000BASE-SX transceivers etc. for fast Ethernet, gigabit Ethernet and fiber channel applications.


50/125 OM2 multimode fiber optic cable is ideal for connecting 1000BASE-SX, SFP transceivers etc. for gigabit Ethernet and fiber channel applications.

OM5 wideband multimode bend insensitive fiber optimized for multi-wavelengths transmission systems operating in the range of 850-950nm, enabling optimal support of emerging Shortwave Wavelength Division Multiplexing (SWDM) applications that reduce parallel fiber count by at least a factor of four to allow continued use of just two fibers (rather than eight) for transmitting 40 Gb/s and 100 Gb/s and reduced fiber counts for higher speeds.


OM5 meets TIA-492AAAE and draft IEC 60793-2-10 A1a.4 requirements while completely backward compatible with existing OM4 networks and applications. It meets RoHS compliant and the fiber patch cord is optically tested for insertion loss to ensure high quality.
