The HT201-ONU-STICK-20/HT201-ONU-STICK-20I is a GPON ONT stick. It is in the SFP form and can be inserted into the SFP uplink interface on switches, IP cameras, Small Cells, routers, DSLAMs, or other devices to implement video backhaul or wireless backhaul. In this way, the networking is changed to use GPON with less complexity in communication and connectivity lower power consumption and cost, and improved network reliability.
WHAT IS GPON STICK?
GPON Stick, is a G.984.2 (GPON) Optical Network Terminal (ONT) with Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) packaging. It integrates a complete GPON ITU-T G.984 MAC and Gigabit Ethernet MAC inside. This allows an operator to insert the SFP ONT into any SFP host and operate a single demarcation device on the customer premise. Simply speaking, with one MAC chipset inside, GPON Stick can be called the GPON ONU in SFP module package.
HOW TO USE GPON STICK?
GPON Stick can totally meet the equipment requirements of FTTB/FTTH/FTTO. If the stick is inserted into a L2 ethernet switch’s SFP port, the switch can be used as a ONT or even MDU, and then connected into the GPON optical network directly. The OLT will operate the remote device just like normal GPON ONU terminal. Therefore, the original P2P networks, plus one GPON STICK, can be used in the GPON networks.
GPON STICK also supports OMCI management interface (e.g. updating the GPON STICK module firmware at the OLT side), can meet the high-speed transmission rate in uplink 1.25Gbps and downlink 2.5Gbps, can co-operate with the communication equipment to support logical identity (LOID) authentication, Dying Gasp, PON link status indication, optical module abnormal light off functions, etc.
Will the GPON Stick be interoperable with ZTE and Huawei OLT?
we did the interoperability testing with Huawei 5600T, Huawei 5800T, ZTE C200, ZTE C300, all works.
Is the GPON ONU SFP stick be compatible with or brand like Adtran, Nokia OLT?
we haven't tested it on OLT like Nokia, Adtran etc before, it is better to place a trial order and the product can enjoy 30-day return, may be refund if not able to pass compatibility test.

HT201-ONU-STICK-20/HT201-ONU-STICK-20I is an
MSA-compliant SFP that incorporates not just the optics for an ONU, but all of
the electronics need as well. It is a “PON on a Stick” that an entire FTTH ONU
in a slightly oversized SFP. It can be plugged into networking equipment.
Allowing the data interfaces on a switch, router, PBX, etc. to be customized
for different fiber environments and distance requirements
The HT201-ONU-STICK-20/HT201-ONU-STICK-20I is
designed as dual-mode ONU stick, it also supports the EPON ONU OAM. It can be
applied both on EPON system and on the GPON system. It will automatically
establish an EPON link with the EPON OLT or GPON link with the GPON OLT.
